It is with heavy hearts that the family of Dorothy Aeschlimann announce the passing of our “mom”. Dorothy was born November 16, 1931 in Oshawa, ON, she was predeceased by her wonderful husband Kurt Aeschlimann in Feb 2004.
Dorothy passed away just before midnight May 6, 2012 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital at the age of 80 years.
She is survived by her children: Terry Akai, Sharon Croft (Brian), Frank Pertelson, David Pertelson (Shelly), Valerie Bell (Dwayne), Linda Sturgeon and Martin Pertelson as well as many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She loved her little dogs and working out among her flowers and gardens.
A special thank you to the wonderful nursing staff on level 2 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital, the Dr.’s on call, Janice and Sheila for all their care over the years, but mostly thank you to Dr. Malinowski for all your care.
The family are having an open house tea for mom on Saturday, June 2, from 1 – 5 at 7240 49th Street NE, Canoe, BC. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the SPCA or Cancer Society would be appreciated.
I recently came across a letter from Dorothy, who was once my neighbour in White Croft Village near Heffley Creek. A lovely lady and sadly missed. Sorry for your loss.
