The Kerr family sadly announce the death of Barbara Joyce Kerr “our angel” on April 9, 2013, age 82, at Piccadilly Care Centre, Salmon Arm.

Barbara leaves behind her husband, The Ven. Victor L., Kerr; five children, Judith Russell, Nanaimo; Janice (Marcel) Hrechuk, Edmonton; Jo-Ann (Rob) Macdonald, Whitehorse; Jeffery (Reta), Edmonton; Jeremy (Tammy), Victoria and our Swiss children Heinze (Andrea) Nussbaumer and family, 14 grandchildren as well as  eight great grandchildren.

She was born in Kamloops, BC and attended school and graduated there.  She was a busy little lady raising a family and supporting her husband of 63 years of marriage.  Her life was one of support and aiding others; in her church, schools, and community generally.  She worked in her later years, retiring with her husband in 1993 to Sorrento, BC.

The family wants to thank the doctors, nurses and care givers at Piccadilly for their care of her over the last two years.

A memorial will be held in the summer (to be announced later) to honour and bless her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Barbara’s name may be made to a charity of choice.
