December 2, 1941 – June 1, 2018
at the age of 76 years.
Lana Magson (nee Martin), Mother, Wife, Daughter, Friend, Confidant, passed away at Shuswap General Hospital on June 1st.
She leaves behind her devoted husband Brooke, son Sean Bennett and partner Jason Borton, step daughter Deborah Magson, sons Kenneth and Michael Delorme, Grand Daughter Tiffany Delorme and husband Dennis Llarena, Great Grandchildren Ava Marie, Emma Eileen and Kailyn Ann Llarena and predeceased by step son Jeffrey Charles Magson.
From her early days in Prince Rupert to Vancouver and the Shuswap region, she was adored by many and will be missed terribly by those who’s lives she touched. She was fiercely loyal to those she loved and a champion of kindness and compassion to strangers in need.
Her family will be forever grateful for the love and care she was given by the wonderful nurses, staff and caregivers at Shuswap Lake General Hospital. We would especially like to thank her Dr Adriaan Louw who kept his promise to protect and care for her until the end.
It was her wish that no formal service be held so we invite her friends and family to celebrate her life by emulating her love for people. Looking for ways to make the lives of the less fortunate a little bit better than when we found them. Honour her by being kind to one another.
I know from our brief encounters that she was a kind and generous person. I believe she was a caring mother to my children, Jeff and Deb who both loved her deeply. I wish I had known her better. You are not alone….there are caring people where you are. Sleep well Lana. Hug Jeff & Abi & Sera
