a celebration of life will be held in Calgary, AB on August 20, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother on Sunday, July 31, 2016 in Salmon Arm, BC at the age of 83. Laura was at peace and ready to embark on the next leg of her journey and will be missed and lovingly remembered by her children Barb (Paul) Glatthor, Mike Pogson, Russ Bunce, and Bill Pogson; her grandchildren Emily and Jenny Glatthor, Garret Goerl, Aaron (Kim) Pogson, Jamie Pogson; and her greatgrandchildren Halen and Lacey Pogson. She was predeceased by her daughter Kathryn Pogson. We will fondly remember her zest for life and love of treasured family and friends. Laura excelled at cross-stitching, including her famous Christmas stockings, and knitting, especially her much sought after knitted washcloths, and was always open to learn about new crafts that included pottery and painting with watercolours. She will be forever in our hearts and thoughts. Love you Mom. The family extends special thanks to the staff at of the Good Samaritan Hillside Village for their compassionate care of our mother, and her family physician Dr. G. DeWitt. In accordance with Laura’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Instead, a celebration of life will be held in Calgary, AB on August 20, 2015 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.

Just want to tell you that your Mother was a dear friend of mine from her arrival in Grande Prairie.
We have kept in touch all the years and I will miss her dearly. May she rest in peace, no more pain
and heartaches.
