  1. I am so very sorry to learn of Mike’s death. I knew him from our shared days with CBC Television in Vancouver and have kept in touch in the years since through the CBC 20 Year Association of which I am Secretary. One of the things I do is let CBC past and current colleagues know when one of our colleagues has passed away. I have been searching for a published obituary to include but without success. Was one published? Or anything printed for a service or Celebration of Life that I might include? I’m not limited in space so my message (to be e-mailed) can be as long as his family wishes and can include photos as well. I’d certainly like to add the names of family who survive him.

I’m so glad I got to know Mike a little through work and although I hadn’t seen him in many many years, it was lovely to stay in touch via e-mail and occasional phone conversation. I know that he had finished writing his novel and he was enthusiastic about getting an agent and publisher. It would be wonderful to think it will still be published and if that happens, I would love to have the information to let his former colleagues know.

Again, my deepest condolences. I hope to hear from you.

    Sincerely,

    (Mrs.) Peggy Oldfield
