Anderson, Robert Oliver “Bob”

July 6, 1937 – May 5, 2020,
at the age of 82 years:

Private family interment 

Bob passed away May 5th, 2020 after suffering  from cancer   Missing him but carrying him in their hearts forever his wife Greta of 31 years, one daughter Catherine (Robin) three sons Steven (Louise), Ken, Tony (Chris) grandchildren, Brody, Keith, Felicia,  Kevin, Tessa, Alyssa and Tyra, great grandchildren Emily and Max.
Bob and Greata  moved from Vancouver to the Shuswap in 2000.  Bob retired from Safeway as a meat cutter after 40 years.
Bob loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing, golf, tennis and challenging men at snooker/pool.  He was very loved and made friends easily.
The family would like to thank Dr. Louw and the 4th floor nurses at Shuswap Lake General Hospital for their kindness.

  1. Bob was a dear friend of mine. I lived with Bob and his family when I was going to high school in Vancouver.
    I had a visit with him in the early 2000’s. Bob came to our home in Surrey some years ago.
    I’ve known Bob since the the 1950’s, we played golf,softball,soccer etc.

  2. We extend our deepest sympathy to Bob’s family at his passing. We enjoyed his sense of humour over numerous games of snooker at the Legion and 5th Avenue Seniors’ Centre. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have been a part of his life.

  3. My condolences to Bob.s children, grandchildren. and his beautiful great grandchildren. Also his wife Greta. I met Bob in 1957 and remained friends all years Bob was a wonderful father. his love
    will live in their hearts forever. He will be missed forever.

  5. Dear Aunt Greta and extended family, my most heartfelt sorrow with the passing of Uncle Bob. He was a great inspiration to his family and extended family.   6. Dear Aunt Greta, Catherine, Steve, Ken, Tony and your families,
    We are so very saddened at the passing of Uncle Bob. It is our hope that with everything that you have all been through, you know that our Lord is drawing you closer to give you His strength and a peace. Support and encourage one another with the understanding that you will all grieve differently. May you hang on to all the good memories with Bob in thankful reflection.
