Bowser, Jenny

December 9, 1938 – May 24, 2022
at the age of 83 years:    In Loving Memory

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Jenny Bowser at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital with her long-time friends Alice Broeder and Irene Midzain by her side.

Born to Ukrainian parents John and Katherine Moroz. She is survived by her “hubby” Dick (Richard) Bowser. Mom will be deeply missed by daughters who are located across the country, Elaine Moon, Terry Gilroy, Linda Pehlke (Randy), Rhonda Falle (John) and stepdaughter Tracey Prendergast (Kevin). Known as Nana/Nan/Nanny by her 12 grand children and 12 great grand children. Also left to mourn is her sister Niena. Predeceased by sister Olga (& Roy), brother George, brother-in-law Otto, niece Debbie and son-in-law Michael Gilroy. Jenny will also be missed by her many nieces, nephew, extended family & friends.

Jenny was a long-time resident of Salmon Arm and known as Ziggy from her school bus driver days. Jenny loved playing softball and spending time with her family from far and wide. She wasn’t big on traveling but did venture to the Ukraine to visit family and traveled across Canada with her best friend Alice. Mom loved to bake and you could always count on some kind of sweets when at their house.  She loved her flowers/flower beds and thanks to her many friends/neighbors she was able to enjoy them even after not being able to look after them herself.

A big thanks to the Continue Care team for the last three years of coming into their home and caring for her.

By request, no formal service will be held.
