  4. My condolences to Maria’s family and friends. I worked with Maria many years ago in the Womens section at the Calgary Remand. She took me under her wing ( I was in my early 20’s)and taught me so much about respect and attitude! She was one amazing lady xxoo

  5. I worked with Maria in Calgary. She always had the sharpest crease and the shiniest of shoes. This was a reflection of Maria’s determination and no nonsense approach to the business end of life. She had a humour that would sneak up on a person and a smile that articulated the beauty that she was inside and out. Our Sincere Condolences to her family.

  6. Maria was a wonderful person who I worked with for many a year. She took a great pride in her work and was always respectful of others and helpful to those in her charge. It was a great pleasure to have spent some time with her.

  7. My family and I would like to send our sincere sympathy to Ruth, Esther and families in the loss of our dear Maria. She was a very special and elegant lady and we treasure all the happy memories we have of her. We spent many camping outings together, shared many concerts and happy meals. My sons will never forget her yummy apple pies she made fresh from their apple trees in Calgary. May you find comfort in knowing we feel your pain and care deeply as you walk this difficult journey. We treasure the opportunity of knowing your special mom, and thanks for sharing her with us and keeping in touch. God bless each of you. 11. Sending my condolences to the family.
It has been an honor to know her and serve her , at Lakeside Manor. She was always keenly aware about what was going on around her , and she had a great sense of humor. We shared many laughs , and I will treasure her memory.
Wishing the family much strength , now and in the future. She lives on in all of you.

  12. Grandma was a beautiful soul who shone with great light and wonderful wisdom. She had a gorgeous home, due to her keen eye for interior design, and kept the most beautiful appearance well into her senior years. She loved flowers, gardening, and birds. I remember her once pulling out a book on bird species. I believe she knew them all. She passed on the tradition of gardening to Mom and bird watching to many of us. She was a strong, proper woman who would show a purely gentle, soft side whenever surrounded by flowers. She was one of my best friends and I love her so much! She once had a near death experience where she went into the light. She said she no longer feared death, due to that experience. God bless my Grandma’s soul in the afterlife! I love you now and forever, my beautiful Grandma! May heaven bring you many rewards! I love you always! See you in the afterlife! <3
