  1. Dan and family, John and I are sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. My mom was also in Lakeside Manor when your mom and dad were living there and I recall having short chats with your dad when I brought my dog in for visits. It is difficult to lose your parents. Thinking of you.

  2. Dan and Family
I had the privilege of teaching with your Mum for 16 years at Salmon Arm Elementary. She was an amazing teacher as my daughter can tell you. First day of school Sharon came home with flash cards with words she had to learn. She was so excited at this new world Norine was able to bring this shy child to be able to participate in a speaking part at the Christmas concert. Norine was a very fair teacher with excellent discipline. Her enthusiastic piano playing was enjoyed by all the students in the school. She was famous for her rendition of “O, Canada”. I missed having her as a college when I moved to a different school. She made the world a better place and for me a better person for knowing her

  3. Hi Dan,
Not sure if you remember me but I worked at Lakeside Manor when your mother and father lived there and was there with Hazel when Jim passed as we awaited your arrival to be with her.
I enjoyed the conversations I had with Hazel as we had reading in common. I know she was nervous sometimes but I thought she was a kind person.
My condolences to you and your family. Hazel is at peace now.
    Kind regards to all,
    Mary M
