at the age of 86 years

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Edith Elizabeth Burton on August 12, 2019.  She passed away peacefully with her family members at her side in Bastion Seniors Care Centre in Salmon Arm, BC. 
Edith was born in Spirit River, AB on January 1, 1933.  She will be remembered for her great love of life, family and sense of humour. 
She is survived by her husband Gordon Burton, sisters Ann Vandyk and Jennifer Bolen, brother Peter Giesbrecht, her children Iona Wright, Brenda Hakes and Patrick Hakes as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
