Christensen, Jamie Lynn

July 17, 1956 – February 1, 2024
at the age of 67 years:

It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of Jamie Lynn Christensen. Loving partner to Chris, devoted mother to Stephanie and Leon (Stephanie), loving grandmother to Madison and Damian, beloved daughter of Cortland and Gail Christensen, sister of Dana, loyal friend to so many, dog-lover of Zoey and Hunter and entrepreneur with her business ‘Our Walk with Buddha’, Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

The angels in heaven are wearing beautiful malas and bracelets.

Jamie loved sports in her younger years, especially baseball. Lifelong friendships were forged early on: Debbie C, Debbie H, Linda, Lisa, Paddy, Shelley and Tracey and many others were always in touch. In her later years she enjoyed playing outdoors with her grandchildren, kayaking, puttering in her garden, walking the dogs with Chris and making new friends at her popular jewelry markets. Jamie was very proud to be able to continue working for the RCMP and the Commissionaires here in Sicamous.

There will be a Celebration of Life in mid-July, on her birthday, in Sicamous.

Thank you so much to the teams of nurses, doctors and physiotherapists at Shuswap Lake General Hospital who took such wonderful care of our dear friend.

In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the BC Cancer Society.

  1. Jamie’s energy was so inviting and loving the first time I met her over 20 years ago. This news breaks my heart as well as many others. With all of her precious family in mind, I know she leaves and takes peace that all of you carry the strength, healing faith, spiritual peace and her spirit of family values, love and support of each other. My heart extends to each and every one of you during this time and may you always take comfort in the laughs all of you shared with her. I know I laughed with her and had serious chats with her as well, for which will always stay with me. My sister, currently with stage 4 cancer, had also been blessed with a bracelet by Jamie. Her heart was huge and extended to so many. Please know that you have all been in my thoughts and prayers.
    With love.
