Coulson, Betty

March 11, 1918 – October 15, 2018
at the age of 100 years

Memorial Service: Friday, July 19, 2019, 11:00 am, Fischer’s Funeral Services, Salmon Arm, BC

Betty Dryden was born in Yorkshire, England but spent most of her life in Bournemouth.  She met Jack Coulson at the tennis club, they were married in 1942 and raised two children who immigrated to Canada.
After her husband of 60 years passed away, Betty decided to join her family in Salmon Arm and immigrated at the age of 88!  She enjoyed camping and swimming in the summer, tobogganing and sleigh rides in the winter.  Quieter moments were spent knitting, reading and playing board games.
She lived independently at first, then spent a couple of years at Shuswap Lodge and her last three at Hillside Village.  Many thanks to all the staff who cared for her during those times.
Betty was predeceased by the son John, in 2017, and is survived by her daughter Vivien (Tony) Say, 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when all the families can get together.
