Dunbar, Glen Robert (Dunie)

January 20, 1952 – August 8, 2018
at the age of 66 years

Glen Robert Dunbar, beloved partner of Pamela Smith passed away at the Shuswap General Hospital on August 8, 2018.

Born in Winnipeg, he grew up in Charleswood. In 1979 Glen moved to Calgary having been hired by CP Air, retiring in 2004.
In 2007 he was convinced to moving to the Shuswap would be a great idea and he settled happily in Blind Bay. With the shop of his dreams he was able to continue his woodworking to his heart’s content and in the summer he loved spending time on the water.
An avid supporter of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers he continued to hope they would win another Grey Cup.

Thanks go to Dr. Bonthuys, Dr. Main and Dr. Carnegy for their kindness and compassion. Also a thank you to the nurses Carmen, Jordan, Spencer and Mike for making Glen’s last days peaceful. A special thanks to Sally and Ron Dent, Patricia Kuhn and Ian McLafferty for their constant support during this difficult time.

As per Glen’s request there will not be a funeral. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Shuswap Hospice Society would be greatly appreciated.
