at the age of 79 years:
It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Anita Elaine English. She passed away May 20, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family and in the kind and compassionate care of the staff of Bastion Place.
Anita was born in Moose Jaw, SK on November 9, 1943. She loved to laugh and she loved her ice cream. We will miss that laughter.
She was predeceased by her beautiful daughter Valerie Melito.
She is survived by her other beautiful daughter, Karen Crowther, her grandchildren: Amanda (Steve), Alicia (Dave), Jessie, Sean, Andrea, and Sarah (Davin) and her great grandchildren: ShyLynn, Alysa, Gavin, Seth and Austin.
There will be no service by request.
Anita was a dear friend, a side-kick and a source of a great many laughs. She loved her family, but as for the rest of us…she brokered no fools! I miss our road-trips and our guilty pleasures (when not under the eye of her devoted sister Donna). I’m kind of at peace, now that Anita is. I will cherish our fun times and confidences. We could talk about anything. Ride free dear friend, and thanks for sharing your life with us. ❤️
My grandma, Anita. She had the best laugh, and such a sense of humor. She had been through so much during her life, and conquered it all with a smile on her face. She will be missed so much. We have a family of strong, fierce women, and I now know where we get it from. Love you grandma.
Anita was the only grandparent I had and she was more than enough, she was the best gramma I could have ever asked for.
My gramma was my kindred spirit, she was my best friend and I will never forget her. I will always cherish our good memories, her love for laughter, her strength, and her sage advice.
Anita will be missed by so, so many people and she will be loved forever. Give mom a big hug for me <3
