  1. Simi, as everyone called him was a wonderful uncle to me and one of the most authentic artists I’ve ever known.

A visionary that is yet undiscovered and who was never phased by the influence of anyone or anything.

Simon had a very unique personality and was very knowledgeable about his interests.

Although Simion had a traumatic and difficult upbringing and lived mostly in poverty, he savoured life in his own way by embracing the arts, food, and was happy when collecting various treasures.

It has taken a long time for me to come to terms with his death and as sad as his passing has left me, I am somewhat comforted by the fact it was his choice and not to anyone else’s demise.

Simi is missed and can be remembered for the countless works of art he has made and the impressions he has left on everyone he engaged with.

His legacy will continue through his son and grandchildren.

  2. I’m in shock to see of Simion passing. It seems only yesterday he was posting on my Facebook! Deepest condolences from Rudy Sikora’s family. Especially from my Mom, Peggy, and myself. Much love, Karen Sikora❤️
