Gerault, Elsebeth “Beth”

May 14, 1952 – March 10, 2024
at the age of 71 years:

It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Beth (Elsebeth) Gerault (nee Mortensen) on March 10, 2024, at the age of 71.  Beth will be greatly missed by her husband Norman, daughter Lisa (Danny) and grandsons Benjamin and William.  She is survived by her brother Svend (Donna) and sister Kathy (Peter) and was predeceased by Jakob and Inger Mortensen.  Beth will be remembered fondly by many friends and family in Calgary, Sicamous, Vancouver, and Denmark.

Beth was Born in Copenhagen, Denmark and the family emigrated to Canada when she was 3. Beth was involved in the Danish community, working at Nordic Travel for most of her career, and was a member of the Danish Canadian Club.

Living most of their lives in Calgary, Beth and Norm moved to Sicamous in 2012 upon retirement.  A yearly trip to Australia to see Lisa, Danny, Benjamin, and William was a highlight for Beth and was spoken about regularly with friends.  Beth enjoyed golfing, going for a nice drive (which would always include lunch) and was an avid reader.

A family and friends memorial will be held in Sicamous at a later date.
