June 28, 1928 – February 16, 2015
at the age of 86 years
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bill Gloyn on February 16, 2015 at the age of 86 years.
Bill is survived by his wife Kathie, his three children Carol Ronda and Jack, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Bill was bon in Pincher Creek, AB and moved to Salmon Arm at the age of seven.
He loved his property with his vegetable garden which many of his friends and relatives benefited from. After a lifetime of dedicated work with the Dpt. Of Highways, he retired and he was often seen working in the yard and chatting with the neighbors. He also loved hi woodwork.
He will rest in peace in the Mt. Ida Cemetery overlooking his parents John and Janet and his older brother John.
I just learned the sad news. I have fond memories. I loved his sense of humor. My thoughts are with you Kathryn & the family. I now live in Burlington, Ontario so am near all of my family. I am pretty disabled since breaking my back. I hope you are well. Love, your cousin Hazel.
as a little girl one of my favorite memories is coming to visit you and grandma in the summer….sitting at your front window with binoculars watching the waterslides…soo excited to go..and you teasing me…helping with the peas…climbing your big cherry tree..and watching you take care of your beautiful home and yard…I always went straight for your candy dish to see what was in it and sneak a few…I will always treasure the hope chest you built me..and my Barbie house that amused me for years…even had carpet and wall paper…it was definitely made with grandpa love…thank you for taking care of grandma…and doing the best for your children….so glad I got to come visit last summer and sit in your gazeibo…enjoying the moment…I love you…R.I.P GRANDPA!!!!
