at the age of 73 years

Celebration of Life:  May 6, 1:30-5:00 pm, Cedar Heights Hall, 2316 Lakeview Drive, Blind Bay, BC

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our father.  Dad was 73 years old and lived in Blind Bay, BC
Wrapped in the love of his family, Dad passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, April 23, 2019, after suffering a massive stroke.  At the time he was in the Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital surrounded by his loving wife and devoted sons at his bedside.  He was loved and adored by his children and grandchildren, and they were his world.  His relationship with us boys was like no other, constantly keeping in touch with each of us on a daily basis no matter where or what he was doing.
Dad was very much a people person and will always be remembered for his love of sports, camping, card games, as well as the time spent with friends and family.  He never missed an opportunity to put in a good-natured joke.  He will always be a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, son and friend to all those who he came in contact with.  He was a strong, proud and good man who taught us well. I am sure if he was here he would say “If you remember me, take a friend or relative out for coffee, lunch or dinner and smile…I WILL BE THERE”
He met mom, the love of his life in 1967 and they were married on June 21, 1969.  After many hard years of work, they retired and enjoyed travelling throughout North America and Europe.
He was born in Vermilion, Alberta, was the third son of Bob and Gwen Greig of Big Valley, Alberta.  He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Linda (Innocent) Greig, his sons, Kent Greig of Magna Bay and his son Don of Vancouver, BC, three wonderful grandchildren, Karissa, Spencer and Chloe, brother Jim and sister in law Myra, sister in law Shirley and husband Gordon, as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dad was predeceased by his parents and brother Bob.

We will always remember him for his smile and compassionate heart.  Love you Dad.
