It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Ben Harder on September 26th 2016 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital with his wife of 57 years, Betty by his side.Ben was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on March 14th 1933. He moved with his family to Yarrow, BC in 1936. He married Betty (Thiessen) on August 14th, 1959.He is survived by his wife Betty, son Gerald, daughter Judi, grandchildren Autumn and Caleb and sister Agnes.Ben will be missed by all who knew him. He will be remembered for his handyman skills, his offbeat humour, his loyalty and his determination to stay strong in the face of Parkinson’s disease.A memorial service was held at Fischer’s Funeral Services in Salmon Arm on Saturday October 1st.Ben’s family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for your support during their time of need.
