April 30, 1934 – April 8, 2023
at the age of 88 years:
Delbert Jacob “Jake” Herman passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on April 8, 2023.
He was born in Weyburn, Saskatchewan on April 30, 1934. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret and Ernest, brother Bob, sister Lois and grandson Eric Homersham. Jake is survived by his wife Lynn, daughter Karen (Ross) Green of Blind Bay, daughter Kathy Herman (Bob Homersham) of Calgary, grandchildren Kelsey, Brett, Joel and Emily.
Jake and Lynn enjoyed 60 years of marriage, spending 34 years in Calgary where Jake worked in the Canadian oil patch. Jake and Lynn retired to Blind Bay in 1997 where they enjoyed golfing, boating and flower gardening.
Many thanks to Dr. Bonthuys and staff at Pleasant Valley Care Centre and also to Mt. Ida Care Centre for their care and kindness to Jake in his final days.
