at the age of 92 years

It is with heavy hearts, yet fond memories, that the family of Nell H. James announces her passing in Salmon Arm, BC.  Nell was born in Swan River, MB and grew up in Pelly, SK.  She moved to Regina as a young woman where she married George James and raised their family.  Nell loved to dance and sing with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and always had their favourite foods on hand when they visited.
In her later years, after the death of her husband (2002), she moved to Salmon Arm to be closer to her daughter Vivian.  She lived four years with Vivian then moved to Piccadilly Terrace and later to Piccadilly Care Home.  A very special thank you to all the staff at those homes for the wonderful friendly and compassionate care of our mother.
Nell will be sadly missed, always loved and remembered by her children Bob (Helene), Vivian (Grant); her grandchildren and great grandchildren Shamus (Guylaine), Étienne, Évi, Nico; Lucy (Markus), Olsen, Parker, Levin as well as nieces, nephews and friends.
At Nell’s request, there will not be a public funeral service.  The family will gather for a meal in remembrance to celebrate her life and ours.
