September 28, 1927 – May 5, 2022
at the age of 94 years:     

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Annabelle Carol Jones, May 5, 2022 in Salmon Arm, BC.

Anne was the youngest child of Anna and Dan Rake’s nine children.  She was born at home on the farm two miles west of Donalda, Alberta on September 28, 1927.

She married her devoted husband James (Jim) Jones on March 21, 1951.  They celebrated over 71 years of marriage.

Anne and Jim were schooled and lived in the Donalda area until 1972.  They spent a short time in Settler, Alberta, before moving to Jasper, Alberta where they resided until their retirement to Canoe, BC in 1992.

She enjoyed many days in the great outdoors during camping trips, exploring and metal detecting over the years.  She could always bring us to laughter with a totally unexpected statement.  She was the celebrated “Auntie Anne” to so many nieces and nephews.

She will be greatly missed by us all especially her loving husband Jim.

Special thanks to all who showed such kindness and care at Mt Ida, Salmon Arm.

Interment will be in the Donalda, Alberta cemetery at a later date.
