July 28, 1959 – January 5, 2024
at the age of 64 years:
It is with great sadness that the life journey of Delmer Fred Kotowsky age 64 was completed at the Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm, BC, Friday, January 5, 2024.
Delmer was predeceased by his parents Fred and Della Kotowsky. He is survived by his two loving sons Adam and Dustin Kotowsky along with his siblings Debbie (Pat Ranahan), Brenda (Guy St Matin), Cindy Kotowsky-Potter and Gaylene (Mark Morancy), numerous nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his loving pup Angus who followed him everywhere.
Delmer was born July 28, 1959, in Swan River, MB. In 1973 his family moved to Kitwanga, BC where Delmer continued to go to school in Hazelton, then worked for the Kitwanga Lumber Company. Delmer moved one more time in 2007 to Salmon Arm, BC and was employed at North Enderby Timber until his retirement.
Delmer loved to spend time with his boys and other family members. He loved to chat on the phone and keep in touch with everyone while cracking a sarcastic joke to keep things light. The sound of his voice was very comforting. His warm hugs were enormous and soothing.
Delmer had many hobbies. These included world traveling, wood working, scuba diving, growing beautiful orchids and of course hitting up a Timmie’s drive through to order the strongest coffee they could make for him and hitting the road for a fast cruise. He loved deep conversation on worldly events and loved to give his insight on these matters.
Delmer will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. At his request, there will be no funeral services.
“Though we need to weep your loss, you dwell in that safe place in our hearts
where no storm or night or pain can reach you.”

So sorry for your loss Debbie!
I meet Del a couple times when we walked the foreshore and Del would meet us so we would walk Angus!
Seemed like a very sweet brother! ❤️
My husband and I were ready good friends of Fred and Della. We had the opportunity to meet Delmar over the many years as well. What a nice family.
