Larsen, Brett Edward

at the age of 39 years:

For those wishing to say their final goodbyes to Brett, the family welcomes you to come to the Sorrento Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 23, at 1:00pm

Brett chose his time to leave this earth surrounded with love, positive energy, and peace. Brett was born in Salmon Arm BC on October 6, 1983.

After graduating from high school in Salmon Arm, Brett moved to Kamloops, BC where he worked at Sun Peaks for a year. He then returned to Sorrento where he was employed at Adams Lake Lumber. In 2004 Brett met Amanda and in 2006 they bought a home in Chase BC where they welcomed their beautiful little baby girl, Kadie Marie, into their lives. In August of 2011, two months after the passing of his younger brother Nick, Brett suffered a major stroke. The doctors were amazed that he recovered without any serious damage mentally or physically, but that was the start to Brett’s decline in health.

Over the past 12 years he battled many health issues and through all of this he never once complained or said why me, he went through life with strength and dignity. Kayaking, camping, hunting, and being outdoors was Brett’s passion. He loved people and visiting with friends and family. He absolutely loved and adored his nieces and family. Brett was a compassionate, loving, gentle soul with a witty sense of humor and contagious laugh. He left this world too early and will be missed deeply by all who knew him. But he is with his brother Nick, his cousin Jeff, grandfathers Vaughn LeDuc and Rod Larsen and numerous friends and family in a beautiful place filled with love and peace.

He leaves behind his mother Shelley and father Bo, his older brother Jesse (Bernadette} and nieces Ryann and Ellincia, his younger sister Fawn (Oliver), his nieces Nicala and Isla, and the love of his life, his pride and joy, his daughter Kadie Marie. Brett also leaves behind his grandmothers Gail LeDuc, as well as Pat Larsen, numerous aunts and uncles, cousins and friends.

For those wishing to say their final goodbyes to Brett, the family welcomes you to come to the Sorrento Memorial Hall on Saturday, September 23 at 1:00pm

  3. Brett fought so hard to deal with his many health problems. We share your sadness at his passing, and trust in hope that he is in a better place. James Taylor wrote a song about the passing of a young relative that I found helpful. Here’s a link, in case someone wants to hear it; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0j0xPq6mZ4 So long, old pal…

  4. Doreen and I were saddened to hear of your son’s passing. No family should have to go through this terrible experience. We are thinking of you all at this time. Don Paterson
