A celebration of June’s life will be held Saturday, September 18th, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Fischer’s Funeral Home, Salmon Arm, and as well as in her hometown of London, Ontario at a date and time to be determined.

It is with great sadness that we mourn the loss of June Junko LeClair, nee Wakabayashi, on the evening of August 25th, 2021, at the age of 70.  June fought a courageous battle with cancer over four years but lost that struggle and is now at peace.

June was born in London, Ontario, daughter of Eichi and Yukiko Wakabayashi.  She completed her degree at The University of Western Ontario in dietetics and went on to practice in London, Northern Ontario, Alberta and finally in Salmon Arm, BC.  June’s dedication to both her profession and the people with whom she worked was unwavering – she was loved by all.  Over her life, and in the many communities in which June lived, she gave of her time unconditionally to countless charities and organizations in support of her community.

June is survived by her devoted husband Rob of 48 years, her brother John and wife Peggy, brother Gary and wife Brenda, brother-in-law Jim Abe (sister Yvonne predeceased), her brother-in-law Peter and wife Margie, and her beloved nephew and nieces Sean, Sara, Amberley, Mallory, Natalie and Adrienne.  She will be missed by all.
