at the age of 88 years
Murdo passed away peacefully on Saturday April 23, 2016.
He is predeceased by his wife Helen in 2012.
He was survived and forever remembered and loved by daughters Heather Mackenzie, Janet ( Lloyd) Fairclough , as well as 5 grandchildren, Hailey, Rachel, Chloe , Derek and Luke. He is also survived by his sister Jessie (Somerled ) Macdonald and their family.
As per Murdo’s request, there will be no Church service.
A private family graveside service is planned instead.
The family would like to express our deepest thanks and appreciation to special friends Tessa, Klaus and Jonah Kristensen for all their love, care and support they showed for Murdo the past 8 years.
Dear Heather and Janet and grandkids ,
We were sad to hear of the Passing of Mac. We were neighbours of Mac and Helen (and girls) for many years on Galligan Road.
We always enjoyed our visits with them.
Both Helen and Mac so enjoyed their time down at the lake either at their favorite spot on the beach or sitting on the dock.
We still see them sitting by the lake.
They both were truly part of Eagle Bay and they will be missed.
Good memories of Murdo and Helen when they were residents of Eagle Bay. They took part in many community activities at the hall and the church. Murdo was part of the small volunteer construction team that enlarged the church, but his favourite role there was to assist the children ring the old-fashioned bell after Sunday Service. He played his other favourite role was at the hall, arriving as Santa Claus for the children’s Christmas party
Now Murdo and Helen are together again. God bless.

I have many good memories of Murdo as we worked together
on the New Westminster Police Department for many years.
He was a kind and generous man with a big heart and a good
sense of humor.
