MacLeod, “Phil” Finlay

September 9, 1935 – September 24, 2018
at the age of 83 years

We will have a goodbye to Phil on Saturday, October 13, 2018, 2 p.m. at the Elks Hall, 3690 30 Street NE in Salmon Arm.  Please come to share memories.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Philip Finlay MacLeod.   He leaves behind his wife Pat, daughter Cathie (Barb), grandchildren Jenny, Trevor and great-grandson Liam; sisters Mary (Ervin), Janet (Bob) and brother Ian (Anne) of Toronto.

Pat and Phil had 35 happy years together and enjoyed their retirement in the Shuswap area.  He loved crosswords, his cats, anything sci-fi and he was always up for a good conversation and debate.  He was a proud Canadian/Scotsman with a great sense of humor. Phil was a proud Member of Clan MacLeod and the Elks of Canada.

Brave to the end, Phil passed peacefully with his family by his side in the light of a beautiful harvest moon.

Always in our hearts.

  3. My condolences to Pat and the rest of your family. I well remember many MacLeod events with the Vancouver Clan MacLeod Society dating back to the late 1980s, then visits in Osoyoos during my many travels to the BC Interior (the most recent being in 2004, when my son and I were passing through on our drive back across Canada). Phil was always most hospitable, had a great sense of humour and was proud of his MacLeod heritage. He will be sorely missed.
