Eero was born in Ylistro, Finland and immigrated to Canada in 1957 living in Thunder Bay and Oshawa, ON before moving to Salmon Arm, BC in 1974.  They resided there until moving to Kamloops in 1989.  Eero was a Deacon of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and volunteered with the construction of numerous churches.  Eero owned his own construction and siding business working well into his 70’s.  He built three of his own houses.  He was an avid hockey fan.  A good way to summarize his interests:  “Gone Hunting … and when I’m Back, Gone Fishing!”

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 28 at 2:00 pm at the Kamloops Seventh Day Adventist Church.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Diabetes Canada.

  1. So sorry for the loss of this man. He was an excellent great-grandfather, grandfather, father, brother, and husband and he will be misses. Sorry I didn’t get to see you more in the last 10 years and thanks for all the memories and everything you taught me.

  2. Sympathies to your family. Thinking of you all. Remembering seeing you on what you said was going to be your last visit to Thunder Bay. You had stopped to visit with our Mom Salme at Shabaqua.
