Born on February 22nd, 1946 in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England.  Passed away on June 13th, 2023 in Powell River, British Columbia at the age of 77 years old.Peter was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven after a valiant battle with mesothelioma cancer.

Peter was predeceased by daughters Monique and Kellie, and parents Thomas and Eveline Marriott.

Left to cherish his memory is devoted wife of 57 years Josée, brother Paul (Gillian), sister Eileen, daughter Tania (Peter), son Ivan (Robbi), grandchildren Arron(Nikki), Jeremy (Carina), Bekah (Cameron), James (Quinn), Tyson (Ksenia), Jordan (Lukas), Chase, Felicity (Morgan), Judah, Vaughn, Keziah, Evan and Chloe, 8 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Peter  and his wife Josée met January 18th, 1964 in Hastings, Sussex, and immigrated to Canada March 31st of 1970, settling in Winnipeg, 5-years later, moving to BC, spending the last 17 years in Powell River. Peter dedicated his young life to raising his family, and spent many of his later years furthering the Kingdom of God on the mission field in Papua New Guinea, Thailand, Borneo, Kalimantan, the Ukraine, as well as in ministry in their local churches. Peter was very fortunate to have such varied and rewarding experiences with Josée and sometimes the whole family throughout the course of his life. He is at peace now without pain or suffering. Thanks to all the prayer warriors, friends and family who gathered to support Peter and his family through the past few months.

Celebration of life graveside service was held at Shuswap Memorial Cemetery (SMC)
2700 20 Avenue SE, in Salmon Arm, BC June 16th, 2023 at 2pm

  1. I remember Peter for his lively enthusiasm and strong beliefs. He and Josie were most supportive of Lance and my involvement with the Cursillo Movement….something for which I shall be forever grateful. Blessings for you Josie and family. Your inner strength and faith will carry you forward .

We are so very sorry to hear of Peters passing we would loved to have attended the memorial service but unfortunately didn’t see the obituary until a day after .. we are so incredibly sad for you Josie Ivan and Tanya .. please know we care for the loss of your special husband and father ..
