Noel McClelland passed away peacefully at his home in Salmon Arm, BC on Thursday, May 22nd, 2014 at the age of 79 years.  He was born in Vancouver on July 4, 1934 and was predeceased by his parents Grace Hornosty and Robert McClelland.  He is survived by his loving wife Lila of 54 years, son Bobby (Reg) McClelland, son Wayne (Lisa) McClelland, granddaughter Kirsten McClelland, great granddaughter Khyra McClelland, brother Aaron (Terry) McClelland and family, brother and sister-in-law Fred (Kathy) Schuhart and family, daughter Susan (Gord) Moscrip and family, son Terry Hilton and family as well as other relatives, dear friends and his faithful furry friend, Classy.

He will be remembered for his many years of hard work in the printing industry, having his own print shop “Noel’s Printing”, and his dedication to the peoples around the world at Christmastime.  In 2000 retiring to the Shuswap, he continued spreading his Christmas cheer selflessly until his failing health would not allow him to continue.  His many other interests included fishing, hunting, boating, camping and spending time on his ham radio.

He will be greatly missed; leaving a legacy behind that will have an impact on many.

Special thanks to Dr. Breugem and staff, We-Care, Interior Health, Interior Respiratory Services, all the Shuswap Hospital staff, Shopper’s Drug Mart Pharmacy, Lakeside Medical Supplies and all the friends and neighbours.

Our thoughts are with you during this difficult time. Christmas lights always remind us of the years when you were our good neighbors in Port Coquitlam. May the Christmas lights continue to shine brightly each year in Noel’s memory.

  7. So sorry to read of Noel’s passing. We have been to Santa’s Window many times and thoroughly enjoyed meeting Santa and seeing all the many Christmas displays which took a lot of time and effort. Rest in peace Noël.

  8. Noel enriched my life and I feel lucky to have know him as a supplier, a man and a friend. I have many fond memories of coffee, discussion, laughs and triumphs while visiting his Burnaby business, which was across the lane and street of my little computer business. I to this day appreciated the kind support and help given fighting photo radar and the battle to expose a New Westminster pediatrician, who sexually abused his child patients. To say nothing of the humorous bumper stickers for the MLA who occupied the offices above Noel’s shop…

Sincere condolences Lisa, Wayne and all the other family and friends. I can think of no better tribute for any man, then to say, Noel McClelland leaves this world a better place, for having contributed more while been here.

  9. There may be little we can say and not much we can do but both of us would like to show our thoughts are with you. We knew little that day God was calling his name. In life we loved him dearly and in death we do the same.Your family chain is broken and nothing seems but as God calls us one by one the chain will link again. Memories are wonderful things . They never wear out, never get lost and never can be given away. To some he may be forgotten to others part of the past but to us his memories will always last

Then here in Salmon arm after many years. Santa was a very special and kind man always appreciated the money he would raise for the hospital. Honoured to have know such a gentle soul. Rest in peace among the angles.
