Funeral services are being held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 30 2015 at 2 pm. Tea to follow.
It is with sad hearts we announce the passing of Ray Melvin Meyers, May 24 2015 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital. His wife Phyllis of 68 years eagerly awaits his resurrection to health and youth in the future earthly paradise with their children Stanley (Leila) Meyers, Lavonne (Alfred) Heringer, Dale (Rose) Meyers and 7 grandchildren 9 great grandchildren.
Ray was born July 23 1925 in Medicine Hat. He farmed in Eckville, Alberta until 1974 when they became actively involved in the full time ministry. In 1980 they moved to the Shuwap and enjoyed sharing their Bible based hope with many.
I want to send my heart filled condolences to Ray’s wife Phyllis, his friends, family, his children, Grandchildren, and Great Grand Children, and everyone that knew Ray. Ray was an amazing man with an amazing soul. He smiled ALL the time, despite the pain that he was in.. he always had a smile on his face. He was one of the happiest people I knew. He would always greet you with open arms, and a smile. He had a very warm nature about him. I’ve known Ray, & his wife for quite some time so I feel I am close to both of them. My heart and my love goes to everyone, and especially his wife during this difficult time. He will be watching over us, and in his heart to be able to mourne his loss.
