Moores, Emma Eliza “Princelaine”

May 08, 1949 – January 24, 2018
at the age of 68 years

It is with profound sadness the family of Emma Eliza “Princealine” Moores (Seward) announce her passing at the age of 68. Princealine was born and raised in Corner Brook, Newfoundland. She lived in St. John’s NF, Calgary AB, and retired to Sicamous BC. On Wednesday, January 24, 2018, her husband Bruce, lost his wife, his best friend, his first mate, and soul mate of over 50 years. Princealine and Bruce’s relationship is one that everyone dreams of. Their love of each other will carry on in Bruce’s heart.  William and Harry were her special companions; always by her side or in her arms.
Thirteen years ago, Princealine retired from Air Canada after 25 years of dedicated service, and enjoyed retirement to the fullest.  She loved the west coast of Vancouver Island. The last five summers were spent on board their boat off Ucluelet.
Her beloved family will miss her daily smiles as her memory will live on through them:  Brother: Calvin (Paula), Sister: Gail (Stan), Father in Law: Bert (Gladys), Brother in Law: David (Leah), Nieces and Nephews: Denise (Todd), Clara, Mark, David (Krista) Brady, Emma, Stephen (Arlynn) and Sweet Connor, Allison (J.P.) and their sweet baby to come, Kim (Gid) Brittany, Mark, Ronnie (Janet) Olivia, Rachel, Jack, and a very large number of relatives and lifelong friends. Princealine touched the lives of everyone she met and they, in turn, made her life full of joy, fun, and adventure. For her beloved relatives and cherished friends, we will leave a blank for you to fill in your name__________. Princealine was predeceased by her dear parents Clarence (1999) & Clara (1977) Seward and precious mother-in-law Marjorie Moores (1988).
A celebration of life will be held at a later date; there will be no service by her request. A special thank you to her family Doctors Laura and Keith Hepburn and the Doctors, Nurses (Angels) and Staff of the Shuswap Hospital, the Oncology Clinic, and Bastion House. Their care and compassion always made her feel special and safe. The family will be forever grateful to Phyllis Cherry for her love and support for Miss Emma during her battle with breast cancer. Memorial donations in her name may be made to Shuswap Hospital Foundation, Box 265, Salmon Arm BC, V1E 4N3, Phone: (250) 803-4546 or at shuswaphospitalfoundation.org
A special soul with a special smile! We will always remember and love you for as long as we live!  Take time to hug a loved one!

  3. My dear Bruce,

Words cannot express the sorrow I feel over Princealine’s passing. I want you to know that you are continually in my thoughts and prayers. Life will now be so different for you without Princealine in it but, because you are such a strong man and, because she will always remain in your heart, you will endure and continue to find meaning in your life. My memories of you and Princealine are all so good, from the time you came to visit us in Ottawa shortly after your marriage up to and including the time we were able to spend some time together here in BC. I remember too how happy Frank used to be when he had an excuse to call Princealine when she worked with Air Canada. Whenever and wherever we were travelling he would be sure to contact Princealine because, as he would say, she would always come up with the best fares and the best routes! Whenever you feel like it and when you are ready, please come for a visit. Bruce, know that I, and the rest of your Comox family, will be happy to have you. There is always a room for you here for as long as you would wish to stay. Much love to you now and always.

    Love,

    Aunt Ruby

  4. Bruce,

We are deeply sorry that Princealine, your beautiful wife, first mate, best friend and soul mate has gone from this world. Princealine was always kind and welcoming, friendly and joyful, eternally positive and incredibly strong. We will always remember our days together with you and Princealine on your boat in Ucluelet, some of our favorite memories of all time. For as long as I can remember, the two of you were inseparable in my mind – it was always Bruce and Princealine – like you were bound into one being. We will all miss Princealine and it goes without saying that you will miss her most of all. The beauty and power of love is that it transcends death and it is because of love that you can carry Princealine in your heart as you go about your life in the days, weeks and years ahead. A long time ago Plato said, “The soul takes flight to the world that is invisible but there arriving she is sure of bliss and forever dwells in paradise.” This thought is a great comfort to me and I hope to you as well, as you navigate this season of your life.

Our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you now and always.

Much love to you dear Bruce.

    Love,
Eydie, Michael, Joshua, Zachary, Jordan, Eli and Elizabeth
    Your St. Paul, Minnesota family

  13. Bruce, Gail, Calvin and all your wonderful families. Please know how much Princealine has touched our lives. We miss her terribly. She was a true friend in every respect. Though we didn’t see each other a lot over the latter years, whenever we were together, it felt as though we were never apart. Our childhood friendships we cherish. Looking back through pictures lately, I do so cherish our last visits together in both Sicamous and Ucluelet. Bruce and Princealine, you two are one, you cannot think of one without the other. We always will, Bruce. Know we are here for you here in Corner Brook. Distance was always bridged by our love for one another. I can only smile when I think of Princealine, our dear friend. May God lift you up on Angels wings. I know how much she thought of all her family. She loved you all. And Bruce, you two shared such a special bond; you are blessed. such wonderful memories. 16. Princealine came into my life as a roomie in our “motley-ish” crew of Air Canada commuters, to Winnipeg. Her kind, generous nature became immediately apparent, as was her devotion to Bruce. We had some special times, bonded by our transplanted plight and longing to be “home”. Joe and I were very happy to visit with Bruce and Princealine, in their boat “home” just this past September, a wonderful reconnection after such a long time! Joe and I send our sorrowful condolences to all her family and loved ones. Princealine will be greatly missed; she lives on in our hearts. Hugs and love, Elly and Joe
