Murray, Robert Patrick

May 23, 1940 – August 11, 2021
at the age of 81 years:

Bob passed away peacefully in the Piccadilly Care home, his residence for the past 3 years. He is survived by his wife Roberta (Scotty), sons Rob (Kris), Dave (Geri), Kevin (Lana), stepdaughter Tami, stepson Lon (Yvette) and grandchildren Jessica, Ryan, Curtis, Jenelle, Dylan and Brenna as well as his siblings Phyllis, John, Jim and Rick.

Bob was born in Welland, Ontario and moved his family to New Westminster, BC in 1970.  Bob and Scotty married in 1981 and retired to Salmon Arm in 1996. They enjoyed the camping, fishing and great friends they made there.

Bob suffered a stroke in 2004 but through all the obstacles he faced he was determined to live life to the best of his ability and he did to his very last day.

Bob will forever hold a place in our hearts.

  2. Sheila and I were sad to hear of Bob’s passing.. Fortunately, we had an opportunity to have a visit with Bob ,Scotty and his family just prior to their move back to Salmon Arm. It was great to recall some good times and share old memories of growing up in Stop 19.
Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

  3. Sending my condolences to Scottie and all the family members. Bob was my cousin, whom unfortunately we lost contact over the years but he was still loved by my brother Larry and me. We had our last visit with him when he was in Welland for a short time. I will treasure our times together while growing up.

I am sure he is in Heaven with his mom, Aunt Margaret, brothers Donnie, Jerry and Frank.. May he now rest in peace.

  4. I will miss my brother, Bob. He was always a happy go lucky guy. He was a terrible wrestler because anytime his brothers tried to fight with him he would start laughing so much they couldn’t continue. That was him. We didn’t see each other much in person but we loved each other. I am thinking of and send my love to Rob, David, Kevin and their families. Scottie is a lovely person who he was lucky to have. Send my love to her too.

  5. So sorry to hear of my brothers passing. My deepest sympathies to his boys Robbie, David and Kevin and their families and to Scottie who cared and looked after him until the end . We have lost half the original Murray clan now and I can only hope they are reunited with Mom up in Heaven as nothing would make her happier.
