Mrs. Neal will always be in my heart. She took me in as a foster child for a couple of years in the 70’s and treated me like her own daughter. I called her mom then. I only regret is; after I went back to my parents, I didn’t continue to call her mom.
I’ll always remember that day she told me I was going back to my parents, she told me, if it was up to her, she would love for me to stay, and hugged me. We were both crying.
I’ve had several visits with her over the years and she was always happy to see me or talk to me on the phone. I’m glad I had the chance to tell her what a positive influence she was in my life. I will miss you dearly.
