January 27, 1929 – October 12, 2023
at the age of 94 years:     

A kind and loving person, she was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her. A 3-year resident at Bastion Place who the staff affectionately called “June Bug”.  June was born January 27, 1929 and passed away peacefully October 12 with her son Larry by her side.

Predeceased by her husband Laurie New and survived by her son Larry New and wife Jerri New; her 2 daughters Ann Marshall and husband Garry Marshall and daughter Debbie New.  
June boasted of her 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. 

June and Laurie were well known and very active in the square dance community of North Vancouver and Chase.  Together they owned Cottonwood Campsite on Shuswap Lake for over 30 years.  June was well loved by all those who knew her and will be greatly missed.  Family asks those who knew June to take a few moments to think about the good times and happy memories that you shared with her.  May she rest in peace and rejoin her husband Laurie.
