The family of Lorraine Elizabeth Pellett, of Salmon Arm, B.C., is extremely saddened to share the news of her passing. She left us suddenly on November 7, 2025 at the age of 78 years.

Born in Noranda, Quebec, Lorraine spent her childhood in Hagersville, Ontario, before moving with her family to Lytton, B.C. in her teenage years. She graduated from UBC’s rehabilitation therapy program and worked as an occupational therapist in various hospitals and care facilities around the province during her career. Although her marriage eventually ended in divorce, it brought her six children whom she completed raising on her own.

After retirement she kept active with yoga, dragon boating, and volunteer work at Churches of Salmon Arm Thrift Store. Living her whole life as an Anglican, Lorraine’s faith was very important to her, and in recent years, though not at all “computer-savvy”, she mastered joining church services via Zoom at times that she could not attend in person. She enjoyed the tranquility of reading, gardening, and camping, but also always looked forward to visits from her family, who will miss her dearly.

Lorraine is survived by: four daughters, Tamara Graham (Keith), Rhondda Rempel, Liz Sirianni (Justin), and Anna-Maria Reid (Chris); two sons, Jonathan Pellett (Robin) and Ben Pellett (Carlie); eight grandchildren, Tyler Graham (Jenny), Chelsea Hunt (Kyle), Kaleb Graham, Tiffany Graham (Tameer), Jordis Pellett, Freyja Pellett, Philip Reid, and Timothy Reid; one great-grandchild, Erik Hunt; and two sisters, Diane Wood (Sam) and Nancy Kushko (Edwin), as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and their families. Lorraine was predeceased by her parents Eileen and Arthur Wood, her sister Mary (in infancy), and her brother Brian.

A Funeral/Memorial Service will be held at 12:00 pm, on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 170 Shuswap St. S.E., Salmon Arm, with the Reverend Brian Smith officiating. A tea will be served afterwards, with memories of Lorraine celebrated. Interment to follow in Shuswap Memorial Cemetery. The service, although not the tea or interment, will be ‘Zoomed’ for those who cannot attend in person. Please reach out to LPellettService@protonmail.com for the zoom link.

Flowers are respectfully declined, but memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.

Lorraine was a curious and dedicated student who I was always happy to see in class and also have conversations with after the class was finished and the other students had left. My condolences to her family members. She is now at peace.
