September 27, 1941 – June 25, 2024
at the age of 82 years:

      Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 5 at 10:30 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Salmon Arm.  Interment of his ashes will follow at Shuswap Memorial Cemetery.  A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. (downstairs in the hall).

Peter Pukas passed away peacefully from bile duct cancer on June 24, 2024 with his wife by his side.
Born on the family farm Sept. 27, 1941 in Wynyard, Sask, Peter was raised in Wynyard and Creston, BC before moving to Golden where he worked as a millwright.
In 1980, Peter moved to Salmon Arm where he met Virginia.  They married in 1981.  Peter retired from Canoe Forest Products and enjoyed a long retirement. 
Left to mourn him are his loving wife of 43 years Virginia, his daughters Leesa (Gino) and Marita (JP), daughter in law Roxanne, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  Also mourning Peter are his sisters Tricia and Zena as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son Lorne in 2022 and his brothers Russell, Victor, Paul, Harry and Terry.  Peter was an avid outdoorsman who loved both being in nature and painting nature.
Many thanks to Dr. Weicker and the palliative care team, who made his natural passing peaceful, pain free and dignified.

    We wish we could be there to share a hug with you at this time of separation. We are grateful for your faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ, who suffered for all sins and died and resurrected so that we all will be resurrected to stand before God, overcoming the consequences of Adam’s transgression and our sins as we turn to Him.
