It is with a devastated heart that I announce the passing of Donna on November 14, 2018.  She was born July 2, 1949 in Armstrong, BC and move to Sorrento in 1957.
Donna was a lover of life and enjoyed sewing and making things for others.  For the last ten years she has wintered in her home in California.  Donna travelled the world with her husband Terry.  She had a kind heart and a beautiful soul, she always thought of others before herself and was always willing to try things even if she didn’t really want to.  She loved her family fiercely and would do anything to make things better.  She was loved by all who knew her.
Donna was predeceased by her mum and dad Bessie and Alton Prouty.  She is survived by her husband of 50 years Terry, son Kevin Ramsay (Tracey), daughter Denise Ramsay, grandson Michael Collins, granddaughter Kiera Ramsay, sister Carol Preston (Gordie), brother Dale Prouty (Sheila) and twelve nieces and nephews.

  1. Terry and family:
So sorry to hear about Donna. We still have the rose bush that she dug out of your yard when we were out to visit many years ago. Now it will be more precious than ever. We will name it Donna.

  2. Donna was such a wonderful kind and vivacious person, she will be missed.
    God be with you

  3. Terry & family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Donna was such a vibrant person in our Curve’s girls group. More than 8 years of smiles, giggles with all that we tried to do. She will always be with us.

  5. To Donna’s Family – I went to school with Donna and graduated with her at SASH in Salmon Arm in 1967. We had fun at school and she was always very pleasant to me. Our classmates got together for our 50th Grad ’67 Reunion in June of 2017, only last year. It was so lovely to see Donna there and I know she enjoyed the evening with friends. We will all miss her lovely smile. My heartfelt condolences to Terry and family.

  6. Those we love don’t go away,
    They walk beside us everyday,
    unseen, unheard,
    but always near.
    Still loved,
    still missed.
and very dear. Our condolences to Terry and all the family. Donna was a lovely person!!
