A bookkeeper until the end, Dawn Lynn Sanderson, 62, took her final rest on December 31, 2024 surrounded by loved ones at Shuswap Lake General Hospital. Born to Don & Elsie Appel on May 14, 1962 in Chilliwack, BC, Dawn lived a life filled with love, compassion, & strength.

She was a devoted mother, sister, & friend known for her strong work ethic, sense of humour, & love of dogs. Throughout her life, Dawn was an active swimmer, gardener, & reader. 

She is survived by her sister Marie, children Brandi(Matt McAllister) & Travis(Kelsey Granger), & grandchildren Kiara, Cason, & Emerson, who will forever cherish her memory. Her legacy will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.

  1. My sincerest condolences to Dawn’s family. Her family lived next door to my family in Hope, and she was one of my first friends. I was saddened to learn of her passing.

  5. This is heartbreaking news, I know you were such good friends Leona. Dawn was a beautiful person and I’m honoured to have been with her on graduation. She was fun loving, a fantastic swimmer and had a heart and smile of gold. I hope she was welcomed to heaven by open arms, RIP my friend.
