Shaw, Donald “Don” Alexander

September 28, 1933 – October 28, 2017
at the age of 84 years

Celebration of Life:  Saturday, November 18, 2017, Burnaby Lake Clubhouse, 3760 Sperling Ave, Burnaby, BC, 2:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Survived by his wife, of 59 years, Joan, children Kelly, Glen, and Kari-Lee.  Grandchildren Kenneth (Chase), Sarah, Jessi-Lee and Jaxon.  And don’t forget his dog Joey.
Don was born in East Vancouver and spent his childhood in both East Vancouver and Port McNeil on Vancouver Island.
He grew up living to fish and hunt.  He loved it so much he would hide his gun under the school so he could hunt on his way home.
He left school at an early age to work in the logging camps.  It was clear, even at his young age, that he was more than capable to be successful at whatever he put his mind to.  Over the years, Don held a multitude of careers including Department of Fisheries, Real Estate Agent, Cable Contractor and more.
Most important to him, and the job he was most passionate about, was being there for his family.  “Family” was a big word that always included friends for him.
He was always there when you needed him, usually with his unfiltered opinion, and will always be there for us now.
