A service will be held in the memorial chapel at Fischer’s Funeral Services Monday July 9th at 11:00 am in Salmon Arm with a reception to follow
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frieda Shewchuk (nee Ens) at the age of 66 after a long battle with cancer. Frieda is survived by her husband John (46 years), daughter Michelle (Kelly), son Devon, her parents Bill and Sadie Ens, her brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great grandchild, nieces and nephews.
Frieda was loved by all she met and will be greatly missed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Thank you to John for calling out to me as I walked past you guys at the hospital, just before Frieda’s surgery. I will always remember that special and last visit that I had with Frieda. Over the years she was always positive and upbeat, and this showed through at that hospital scene. It was also good to meet Michelle at the bedside that day, and as I left the hospital, Devon – out in the parking lot. Thanks to Devon for also calling out to me! Best wishes, Brian
