August 15, 1926 – March 25, 2013
at the age of 86 years
Len passed away on March 25th, 2013 at the age of 86 years. He was a WWII veteran, having enlisted in the British Army at age 15 serving in Europe and finally in India (1942 – 1947).
Len and his wife Ruth were married in 1951, and emigrated to Canada in 1952.
Len was predeceased by his parents, two brothers, one sister and infant son. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth, sons Tim (Janice), Kevin (Nickie), sister Joyce, eight grandchildren, three great grandsons as well as family in England.
Lovingly remembered and missed.
Len, and Ruth are light itself. My brother Kevin and I were adopted as infants and shown a limitless unconditional love every day of our lives. I join many others whose souls they touched with love and kindness in thanking them for their grace and gratitude as they supported those less fortunate while asking nothing in return. Eternal love Dad.
I had the pleasure of getting to know Len and Ruth at the hospital over the past few months. I work with the physio dept. We would help Len out of his bed and try to keep him moving. Although he was always very tired and short of breath, he remained very polite and had a beautiful smile. I always enjoyed coming to see him. The relationship between Len and Ruth was also a joy to witness. I am sorry to hear of his passing and send a big hug to Ruth.
