A celebration of life will be held at the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds on Saturday, October 8th, 2022 at 10:00am.
With great shock and extreme sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Wilfred (Wilfeo) Smith. Wilf was an auctioneer for BC livestock for 34 years then decided to take a step back and be a contractor for them for the last five years to enjoy being semi-retired. The people’s lives he touched along the way were endless. Wilf was one of the most genuine, kind hearted human one could meet and he will be deeply missed by many friends, family, and the cattle industry. Pre-deceased by his father Lawrence, mother Margaret, and daughter Tammie. Wilf’s legacy will live through who he leaves behind, his loving wife of over 50 years Darlene, his son Jay (Lori), his son in law Brent, his grandchildren Stephanie (Michael), Curtis (Sydney) and great granddaughter Nova. Wilf was an honest, sincere, hardworking man, who you could always count on putting a smile on your face with his kind sense of humor. He was proud to be acknowledged in 2018 to become a lifetime member at the Williams Lake Stampede Grounds. Wilf – you could sell ice to the Eskimos. Your big heart and bigger laugh and kind generous ways were memories we will cherish forever. Darlene Jay Lori and the whole family we have nothing but fun fond memories of spending Time with you all. Our hearts and thoughts go out to all of you. Wilf was always so supportive of the 4H program. He showed up every year during the show and sale. He always made a point to stop and say Hi too all his ole 4H friends.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Wilf. Wilf was so liked by all that knew him including myself. My sincere condolences to all of his family.
