  1. Lyn was such a kind and gentle soul. I loved to talk to her wherever we happened to meet. She will be missed by a great many, and definitely by me. My deepest sympathy to all her family and many friends.

  2. My Condolences to the Thurston Family,
You were very special as a family to Lyn. One didn’t have to be with her long to learn this. She was such a Motherly person, so loving!
She was a Blessing for me to know, which I thank the Lord for.
In Karate class it was easy to see she already had physical prowess, balance, and coordination, especially someone her age. She told me she enjoyed and loved badminton prior to coming to Karate class. In class she was a meticulous thinker and worried she wasn’t doing a particular thing right. She would think she couldn’t hold her own. At different times I would place her in a sparing situation where there wasn’t time time to think, only react with training instincts. She was a Warrior!!! All her training was there instantly! Proof not to fool with a Mother.
I was sad to see she had to quit class, because she loved it so much and was very close to achieving a Black Belt.
Of course I’m very saddened to see her passing. However sad, I know I’ll see her again soon.
My Prayers are that the Holy Spirit comfort you all, and all who were Dear to her.

    Gods’ Blessings,
    Your Servant,
    David Teece

  7. We travel such a short time together. The years from High School to now seem to vanish at our loss of Lyns warm smile and soft heart.
To Karen Kari, old friend, my thoughts are with you.
To Arlene, Joyce and all the Steel Magnolia Ladies that have held to each other since School Days, how wonderful you are,
To Sandy, Coleen and Tim – such a time for your hearts to hold. We have not met but a few years back your lovely Mom and I realized that you three and your eight children and my three girls and their eight children were all related. (White and Thurston marriages)
To all the families, we send our best hopes, prayers and wishes – we will remember.
