Was so profoundly sad to hear of Reta’s passing. My family and I went to spend our coffee time with her this morning, as we frequently did, only to be told the news. Reta took mom under her wing for the year and a half that mom was at Hillside and we could always count on her to liven up our weekly visits there. Reta kept us in stitches and between all of us I like to think we brightened up Cottage 5 with laughter – sometimes being told we were too noisy when we got carried away. I so admired Reta’s feisty joie de vivre and will always remember her with fondness, and most of all love, encouraging our little family when mom was passing, that all would be as it should and it would be okay – she was truly a woman to be admired
