at the age of 86 years

The world lost an amazing man on March 27/2016 at Shuswap Lake General Hospital at the age of 86 years old. Lawrence (Larry) Peter Whitford was born in Pakan, Alberta in 1929 and moved to the Okanagan/Shuswap in 1943.
Larry was a very loving husband and a great teacher to his daughter and granddaughter. He strived to work hard and always made sure his family was taken care of while also finding the time to offer a hand to a friend in need. Larry drove garbage truck for over 30 years, and always had time to stop and have coffee with friends.
Larry leaves behind his wife Connie of 32 years, daughter Trina (Cory), and granddaughter Taylor who was his greatest joy in life. Larry also leaves behind his older sister Myrtle and various nieces and nephews in Alberta.
With your body tired out, it’s time for your spirit to soar. We know your journey isn’t over and that you will always be around to watch over us.
