Ben Wiens of Salmon Arm was peacefully called Home to be with his Lord, surrounded by family, in Bastion Place March 18th, 2018.
Ben was born in Waldheim, Sask. on May 5th, 1934, the seventh child of John and Elizabeth Wiens. At 11 years old, Ben moved with his family to BC. As a young adult, Ben worked in a Sawmill in New Westminster. He always enjoyed “fixing things” and doing any kind of handyman work. He had a passion for growing raspberries in his backyard and thrift store shopping for those special deals.
He is survived by his children Steven, Sherry, Wayne and Lori. Ben is also survived by siblings Tina, Esther, Laura and Ray.
He will be greatly missed by us all.
To Laura & Esther and all Ben’s family, our prayers are with you all at this time. I appreciated those years of getting to know Ben and appreciate the change the Lord made in his life over these 10 years.
May the Lord continue to comfort each of you.
