Wowk, Delmer Walter “Del”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct 29th, 2016 from 11am to 2pm at Carlin Hall, 4051 Myers Frontage Road (Hwy 1), Tappen, B.C

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Del Wowk.  Del passed away at Shuswap Lake General Hospital in Salmon Arm. BC. with his wife Bev & son Delmer by his side.
Del was born in Lamont, Alberta and moved from Edmonton to the Shuswap in July 1993.  Boating & Hot Rod’s were his passion.  He was also a member of the Drifters Car Club.
Del was predeceased by his mother Mary, father Walterand his sister Joyce.  He is survived by his sisters Kay (Ted) Huene, Lucy Pavan, Judy Wowk and sister-in-law Doreen Skoropata, numerous nieces & nephews whom he loved dearly.
A big thank you to the nurses & doctor’s at SLGH and a special thank you to Dr. McKee and Dr. DeWet for their care & compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Oct 29th, 2016 from 11am to 2pm at Carlin Hall, 4051 Myers Frontage Road (Hwy 1), Tappen, B.C
Donations can be made to Shuswap Lake Hospital Foundation, Salmon Arm, The Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.

  4. Heaven now has the ultimate ‘Body Man’! The Shuswap won’t be the same with another friend gone from Phyllis’s dinners. Thinking of you at this time Bev and Delmer. Love Phil and Sue.

  5. Saddened to hear of Del’s passing. We so enjoyed visiting with him when we spent time in the Shuswap and we have great memories of when he visited us in Newfoundland.
    We will always think of his big smile and will remember him fondly. Bev, we send our sincere sympathy to you, Delmer, and all of Del’s family. Big hugs.
