Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11:00am, Fischer’s Funeral Services, 4060 1 Avenue SW, Salmon Arm, followed by interment at Mt. Ida Cemetery and reception back at Fischer’s.
It is with great sadness that the family of Charlotte Petryshen announces her passing in Salmon Arm, BC on Feb. 14, 2023, at the age of 91.
Charlotte was born in Edmonton, AB on June 4, 1931 to Olga and Charles (Karl) Lindell. She was raised in Berrymoor, AB, having made many fond memories of growing up on the farm with her three sisters. Charlotte worked at the Columbia Ice Fields, Eldorado SK, and Edmonton. She met her husband Alex in Eldorado, and they were married in Edmonton in 1961. Charlotte and Alex raised their family in Eldorado before moving to Salmon Arm in 1984.
Charlotte loved gardening, walking, playing cards, crosswords, traveling, and spending time with her granddaughter.
Charlotte was predeceased by her husband Alex, and her sisters Isobel (Donald), Chris (Ed), and Calla (Albert). She is survived by her children June (Tom), Larry (Lori), Murray (Lara), and Kevin, and granddaughter Emilie.
Charlotte was a beautiful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 21, 2023, 11:00am at Fischer’s Funeral Services in Salmon Arm, followed by interment at Mt. Ida Cemetery and reception back at Fischer’s.

Danyluk, Nicholas “Nick”

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sorrento Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 15 at 2 pm.
Nick will be sadly missed by everyone who knew and loved him. He always had a smile for everyone & loved the personal contact with all his Buddies. He was born in Edmonton Alberta and moved to Sorrento B.C. in 1976 where he lived for 46 years. Nick was a master of many trades, mechanic, welder, logging truck driver, paving co. & millwright. His skills & knowledge were endless. He enjoyed cooking and made the best cabbage rolls for all our special occasions.
He is survived by his loving wife Shirley, seven children; Darren (Brenda), Susan (Steve), Sandy (Wayne), Prentiss (Michelle), Niki (Brent), Shawn and Cory (Andrea) and ten grandchildren; Garrett, Haley, Maddy, Emily, Makenna, Marija, Nicholas, Jack, Charlee and William. He was so proud of everyone of them and all their accomplishments.
We will all miss his unique laugh, but we know he will always be laughing with us and watching over us.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Sorrento Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 15 at 2 pm.

Recently, my mom passed away suddenly in Palm Springs, California. My dad was devastated with grief, but he had some... amazing friends nearby who helped him thru the process.In order to start that process, they needed the name of a funeral service in Salmon Arm that the people in the states could be in contact with about the handling of the remains. One of the friends recommended Fischer's Funeral Services, so they were called and They were amazing..they handled all the paperwork and kept in close contact with both the funeral homes and the people dealing with certificates and such. They will also help the spouse with some paperwork regarding taxes if necessary.When my father and I went to see them regarding my mother's wishes, they were so accommodating and did not hesitate to do everything they could to make this as pleasant as they possibly could. We even changed our minds a few times about things at the last minute, and they made it all happen just the way we wanted.My mother didn't have the usual service and it was the best choice we could have made for her and Fischer's did everything to make the day absolutely beautiful from the room setup to the layout of the flowers and urn. They also supplied all the little stuff that you don't even think about in a time like that( paper plates, cutlery, coffee, tea, etc...) and it took a giant load off of my mind so I could concentrate on making this the best send off I could for my mom and for that, I will be forever grateful.I am quite bad to judge how much food and such to get for events , we had way, way too much leftover, but I felt happy about it because I knew it wouldn't go to waste. It gets donated to the local Women's shelter and so I feel that even though my mom is gone, she is still giving to others, and that is the best feeling.I was amazed at the cost of the service. I have heard horror stories about the thousands and thousands of dollars it can cost and I was concerned because of the situation in dealing with the US that the cost would be one of those stories, but that was the most reasonable cost I have ever seen, and a house will not have to be mortgaged to pay for it ... 😊A BIG shout out to Fischer's for all you did for me and my father and may the Heavens bless you both!read more
