at the age of 84 years
Erna passed away in Salmon Arm, BC at the age of 84. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert and will be greatly missed by her children, Gundi (Philip), Evelyn (Doug), Wilfred and Karen as well as her grandchildren, Kristine, Kaitlin, Ryan, Cody, Matthew and Tia.
Erna was a long time resident of Kaleden/Penticton who not only enjoyed gardening but loved to share her fruits, vegetables and flowers with everyone she knew. Erna was a member of the Penticton Garden Club and the German Club.
She was an example of strength and kindness to her family and had a wonderful sense of humour. We are so blessed to have had her in our lives.
No funeral by request, however a family gathering will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation in Erna’s name to a charity of your choice is always appreciated.
Thank you for your condolences. It was so nice to see you this last weekend at Mom’s house. I want to thank you again for all that you & Gary have done to help my mom out while she was still living next door to you. You have always been such wonderful neighbours to her & to my dad as well, when he was alive. I hope you know that your friendship & especially Kevin’s company, brought so much joy to their lives.
We are saddened to hear of Omi’s passing. Even though she has been in Salmon Arm for a while now it seems strange to think we will not see her again. Please know that we will miss her and always think of her. If you need any help at all do not hesitate to ask.
